Who’s The Best UK Sports Personality of the Year?

This just proves that you can bet on just about anything! The BBC Sports Personality of the Year award will be announced on 11 December 2009 and you can already bet on who you think will scoop first place.

The hot favourites in contention at the moment are Freddie Flintoff (after his awesome Ashes Series), Jenson Button (F1 racing), Jessica Ennis (current world heptathlon champ), Ellen McArthur (sailor), Michael Vaughan (retiring from cricket), Paula Radcliffe and Kevin Pietersen (cricketer).

Apart from the overall winner, you can also bet on the team of the year and the overseas personality of the year. It’s not surprising that Lance Armstrong is in the running to win the latter (which has been won by Muhammed Ali, Carl Lewis and Michael Schumacher in the past).
